Boulder, Colo. — February 13, 2019 — Intermountain and Amplifire partnered to produce clinical knowledge engineering courses targeted at reducing CLABSI and CAUTI incidents. Together with the Amplifire Healthcare Alliance, Intermountain co-developed two courses, Central Line Associated Blood Stream Infection Prevention and Catheter-Associated Urinary Tract Infection Prevention. Using the latest evidence-based information and best practices, these courses were designed to eliminate Confidently Held Misinformation (CHM), uncertainty, and knowledge gaps that lead to avoidable infection.
Amplifire has added a new product, GapFinder, to its Amplifire knowledge engineering platform that allows administrators to easily create practice tests for learners. The feature lets learners see where they have gaps in their knowledge so they know where to focus their study efforts. It recommends learning modules based on topics the learner is strong or weak in and lists additional resources that learners can review to fill those knowledge gaps.
Research has also shown that multiple practice tests can further improve retention and test performance. Repeatedly asking your brain to dig around and produce sought-after information creates stronger connections and retrieval pathways in the brain.
A Message from Amplifire’s CEO: We’re Making a Difference On behalf of the entire Amplifire team, thank you for an amazing 2018, and for your continued partnership. What we accomplished together last year was truly incredible. These accomplishments couldn’t have happened without innovative leaders like you who are transforming learning. You have proven that knowledge engineering reduces training time and costly errors.
We all complain about how lousy our memories are. But forgetting is one of the most important tasks your brain undertakes. In fact, your brain intentionally and immediately discards almost everything you experience.
