The KLAS Arch Collaborative Learning Summit 2025 brought together health system clinical and technology leaders alongside EHR vendors, all focused on the shared mission of improving the EHR experience for clinicians through data-driven measurement, benchmarking, and collaborative best practice sharing.
This year, we had the privilege of participating alongside our valued partner, UC San Diego Health, presenting groundbreaking insights on transforming physician training through adaptive learning technology.
UCSD’s presentation, titled “From Off-The-Rack to Custom Fit: Transforming Physician Training,” demonstrated how adaptive learning technology can revolutionize medical education at scale. Our own Alex Nicolarsen took the stage alongside the UCSD team to share compelling insights and outcomes from their innovative approach to delivering customized Epic training with limited staff resources.
The presentation showcased how UCSD optimized their training methodology by leveraging data-driven insights from eLearning initiatives. The focus on customization over one-size-fits-all solutions proved to be a game-changer in their physician training approach.
Transforming Medical Education Through Data-Driven Insights
During our collaborative presentation, we highlighted how UCSD’s innovative approach successfully addressed the common challenge of delivering high-quality, customized training with limited staff resources.
By leveraging performance analytics to identify knowledge gaps and implementing data-driven insights through automated adaptive learning pathways, UCSD was able to scale their Epic training program while maintaining personalized attention that leads to better learning outcomes. The presentation highlighted how learner feedback and performance metrics provide valuable intelligence for continuously improving self-directed learning programs, representing a significant shift toward more effective, efficient, and scalable training solutions in medical education.
Celebrating Our Clients’ Achievements
We were thrilled to see several Healthcare Alliance members receive well-deserved recognition during the Summit’s awards dinner. Froedtert Health, Houston Methodist, and Mercy were among those honored, showcasing the exceptional work these organizations are doing to advance healthcare education and patient outcomes.
Their achievements reflect the power of data-driven EHR optimization and their unwavering commitment to improving the clinician experience through collaborative measurement and best practice implementation.
Expressing Gratitude to KLAS for an Outstanding Summit
We extend our sincere appreciation to KLAS for once again organizing such an impactful Summit. The opportunity to collaborate with UCSD Health and share insights with fellow healthcare clinical and technology health system leaders was invaluable, fostering the kind of meaningful collaboration that drives real progress. We’re excited to continue our partnership with forward-thinking organizations like UCSD Health.
Thank you, KLAS, for hosting an exceptional event that showcased cutting-edge advancements while building the collaborative connections that will continue to influence healthcare training programs across the industry.
