As part of the Operations team — alongside other DevOps engineers, our DBA, and Sys/Network Administrator — you’ll help drive the modernization of Amplifire’s platform by re-architecting CI/CD pipelines, standardizing containerization, and enabling greater self-service and automation for development teams.

This is an ideal opportunity for someone who enjoys building robust automation, improving deployment workflows, and collaborating across teams to make the software delivery process more efficient, secure, and scalable.

Responsibilities:

  • Design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines that streamline build, test, and deployment processes (currently in Jenkins, transitioning toward GitHub Actions).
  • Develop and maintain Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform to provision, manage, and standardize AWS environments.
  • Support and enhance Amplifire’s containerization strategy, improving environment consistency and deployment reliability.
  • Partner with developers and product teams to automate release processes, enhance environment visibility, and simplify application delivery.
  • Collaborate with the DBA and Sys/Network Admin to strengthen platform resilience, monitoring, and operational reliability.
  • Participate in release management activities, helping to ensure high-quality and low-risk deployments.
  • Research, evaluate, and introduce new tools and practices that improve system performance, automation, and observability.
  • Contribute to a culture of collaboration, shared ownership, and continuous improvement across the engineering organization.

Required Experience and Skills:

  • 7+ years of total IT or software engineering experience, including at least 4 years in a DevOps or automation-focused role.
  • Strong experience with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or similar) and version control (Git).
  • Solid programming/scripting ability in one or more languages (Python, Java, or Shell).
  • Experience with AWS services (EC2, ECS/EKS, S3, IAM, CloudWatch).
  • Working knowledge of containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).
  • Hands-on experience with Terraform or similar IaC tools.
  • Understanding of branching models, build pipelines, and release management practices.
  • Collaborative mindset with the ability to work across teams with limited supervision.

Preferred

  • Experience supporting enterprise SaaS environments.
  • Familiarity with monitoring and logging frameworks (CloudWatch, Prometheus, Grafana, or Datadog).
  • Exposure to secure automation and compliance-focused environments (SOC 2, FedRAMP, ISO 27001).
  • Understanding of Agile and DevSecOps practices.

What Success Looks Like

  • Supporting the design and implementation of a modernized CI/CD pipelines that accelerates delivery and reduces manual intervention.
  • Achieving container standardization across environments for consistency and efficiency.
