A large medical board[1] evaluated Amplifire against the self-paced learning modules the board uses for physicians to maintain their certification. The basis of comparison was the ability of each company’s software to improve knowledge in two medical specialties.

A third-party assessment company was contracted to perform the comparison between the board software and Amplifire. A total of 162 physicians completed training in one of the two software platforms and a post-test in a neutral platform provided by the assessment company.

As can be seen from the figures to the right, the absolute gain in knowledge from pre-test to post-test was substantially higher in the Amplifire group than in the board software group. In one specialty, the Amplifire group’s absolute gain (25%) was more than double that of the board software group (10%). In the other specialty, the Amplifire group’s absolute gain (19%) was almost five times that of the board software group (4%).
